Off the ground again
August 8th 2005 -
Yup. Flying again. And I had witnesses this time (Mum, Dad, Dominic and Amelia)! Here are some photos to prove it. Went out both Saturday and Sunday.
Sat.: Devils Dyke which was a Zoo. I didn’t fly and witnessed a mid-air collision which resulted in one ripped paraglider, which limped into land, and a thrown reserve. Home by lunchtime.
Sun.: West Firle, Good conditions but I found it exceptionally hard to take off. The lift was all in front of the hill with none on the top to get you over the barbed-wire fence (which I clipped on one take off). I wasn’t the only one having problems though. I must have seen six fence collisions, with one poor (but persistant) girl hitting it at least three times.
